How To Stop And Reduce Hair Loss
All of us, at some point, start to fear that we might be losing too much hair. While most of the time, it’s just a false alarm, and our hair’s routine shedding, in some cases, it is more than that. But what could be causing the unexpected hair loss?
hair loss happens for many different reasons, and not all of them are related to ageing.
How To Reduce Hair Loss
- Massage essential oils into your scalp to improve your circulation-
Massage promotes good circulation in the scalp and increases blood flow to your follicles. Gently massage your scalp daily by hand for a couple of minutes. To enhance the massage, use a few drops of lavender, rosemary, thyme, peppermint, or cedarwood essential oil in an almond, coconut, jojoba, grapeseed, or sesame oil base on your scalp.
- Green Tea And Egg Hair Treatment
Green tea contains EGCG (epigallocatechin-3-gallate) that can help stimulate hair growth . Eggs have been a popular hair care ingredient for decades because of their high protein content. They provide your hair with the essential nutrients it needs to grow healthily.
Directions
a.Take 1 egg yolk in a clean bowl. Add 2 tablespoons of freshly prepared green tea to it.
b.Mix well until the mixture reaches a frothy and creamy consistency. If it becomes too thick, you can add more green tea to dilute it.
c.Part your hair from the center and apply this mask to your scalp and hair.
d.Cover your hair with a shower cap.
e.Leave this on for about 30 minutes and then rinse well with cool water and your regular shampoo.
f.Repeat 2-3 times a week for best results.
- Restore moisture through hot oil treatments.
a.Pour two tablespoons of a carrier oil into a bowl and heat it for a couple of seconds until slightly warm.
b.Dip your fingers into this bowl and start to massage the oil into your scalp. Give yourself a good scalp massage for about 15 minutes.
c.Work the remaining oil through the length of your hair, ensuring that you coat it from the roots to the tips.
d.Leave the oil in your hair for an additional 30-45 minutes.
e.Wrap your hair with a hot towel (you can soak it in hot water or use a blow dryer to heat it up) during this time. Wash the oil out with your regular shampoo.
f.Repeat 2-3 times a week.
- Try a fenugreek (methi) seed treatment for strength and shine.
Some studies show that fenugreek supplements may help prevent hair loss. A fenugreek mask applied directly to the hair may also be beneficial. This kind of treatment is thought to provide shine and add strength to hair with regular use. It may also help to keep hair intact. To make a fenugreek hair mask:
Soak and grind one cup (178 g) of fenugreek (Indian methi seeds) with sufficient water to make a paste.
a.Apply the paste to your scalp and massage it lightly.
b.Leave it for about half an hour.
c.Wash the paste out with cold water.
Making Lifestyle Changes
- Include more high-protein foods and vegetables in your diet.
Eating lean meats, fish, soy, or other proteins may help to curb hair loss. Additionally, eating a well-balanced diet that contains a lot of vegetables can help you get the vitamins you need in order to grow and maintain a healthy head of hair.
Besides containing protein, many foods rich in protein also contain vitamin B-12 and omega-3 fatty acids.
Many vegetables contain zinc, biotin, iron, selenium, vitamin C, vitamin A, and vitamin All of these contribute to healthy hair.
- Take care of the hair that you have.
Never brush wet hair, and avoid rubbing your hair dry with a towel. Instead, let it air dry or else blow dry it to the point of dampness, and let it dry from there. Additionally, avoid harsh hair treatments, such as dyeing and getting perms, to help keep your hair from becoming dry, growing brittle, and breaking.
You may also be able to reduce breakage by resting your head on a pillow with a satin pillowcase at night while you sleep.
- Reduce stress because it can cause hair loss
Practice meditation to relax and balance your hormones. Meditation can help to both reduce stress and restore your hormonal balance. Practising meditation can also help you in other aspects of your life.
Get some exercise. Walk, swim, for 30 to 60 minutes per day.
MEDICATION
Take vitamins to keep your hair healthy and strong. Your mother told you they were good for you, but you may not know that they are good for your hair, too. Add some extra milligrams of these vitamins to your daily regimen:
a.Vitamin A: Vitamin A is an antioxidant, which promotes healthy production of sebum in the scalp. Sweet Potatoes are loaded with vitamin A-rich beta carotene, which not only promotes a healthy scalp but also promotes hair growth.
b.Omega-3: Take omega-3 fatty acids. Foods rich in omega-3 include fatty fish, egg yolks, fish eggs (caviar), flaxseeds, chia seeds, and fortified milk.
c.Vitamin E: This vitamin stimulates circulation, and good blood circulation in the scalp is important in keeping your hair follicles productive.
d.B vitamins: The B vitamins help your body produce melanin, which gives hair its healthy color and stimulates blood circulation. Pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) is also responsible for proper hair growth because it plays a part in the cell division within hair follicles.
e.Vitamin C: Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that increases your absorption of non-heme iron that originates from plant products. Because of this, a vitamin C deficiency can make hair dry and brittle, and also cause hair loss.
f.Vitamin D: Vitamin D is a pro-hormone that your body typically takes in through sun exposure. A low concentration of vitamin D2 has been linked to hair loss, especially for women who are 18-45 years old.
